We are delighted to announce that we have been recently appointed to provide our services to Corpus Christi RC Church, in the Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle.
The church was originally designed by the Architect Robert Burke of Grey Street, Newcastle, and built by the contractor E. Thompson of Dinnington, Northumberland. The original plans (below) were approved in 1934 and the church was eventually opened in February 1936.
The original drawing itself is drawn at a scale of eight feet to one inch, which certainly isn't on our modern metric scale rules.
Alongside award winning Napper Architects, we look forward to working with them to provide new facilities that will help the Church support the needs of the local community.
