Walworth Town Hall, London
Walworth Town Hall is a Grade 2* listed former town hall which has been revitalised as a community and workspace hub, comprising of offices, studios, workspaces for SMEs, Café, community gallery, public space.
The building provides employment space for the creative industries, arts, and a community hub.
The building is heated by an all-electric low carbon air source heat pumps providing space heating, and mechanical ventilation heat recovery provides filtered fresh air to internal occupied spaces.
The project has received multiple awards for its adaptive reuse and restoration, including AJ Retrofit & Reuse Awards 2025 or Adaptive Reuse into Mixed Use. The project has also won the Low Carbon Project of the Year award at the Construction News Awards 2025, and was a finalist for the Placemaking, Heritage & Culture Award at the Building London Planning Awards.
CDL were appointed to develop the RIBA Stage 4 & 5 MEP building services design on behalf of the Principal Contractor for the full fit out.
