This month we have welcomed Zubair Mirza to the team at Clark Degnan, as a Graduate Mechanical Engineer in our Newcastle office. Zubair acquired a BSc (Hons) in Aeronautical Engineering from EAU, in Dubai, and is currently completing further studies in MSc Renewable and Sustainable Energy Technologies at Northumbria University. Zubair is keen on further developing his interests in Computational Fluid Dynamics and dynamic modelling. Welcome on board!

The first major update in 8 years of the Building Regulations Approved Document Part L will be enforced from 15th June 2022 and will apply to dwellings and non-domestic buildings. The regulations introduce significant improvements in energy efficiency standards and carbon reduction, and alongside the new Approved Document Part O -Overheating aim to deliver the interim step towards the new Future Building & Future Homes Standards in 2025.

Following on from recent award nominations from the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), the British Council for Offices (BCO) and Constructing Excellence G4C.

It's National Apprenticeship week and we would like to introduce our new apprentice Ewan Robertson. Ewan is completing an Electrical Installation Level 3 at Gateshead College, moving onto a Building Services Engineering HND.

The renovation of 105 - 107 Beach Road, South Shields has been completed by South Tyneside Homes. The project was a mixture of 4 and 3 bedroom apartments providing affordable homes through South Tyneside Housing Ventures.
